Bath Time!

Yeah, I'm lagging a little with the posts, but not TOO long ago, Sydney had his first bath at home. Since we are old pros at this, we eschewed the temperature taking ducky's a$$. (For those that don't know, with Casey, we used this ducky whose butt would change colors depending on water temp)... It's not like we are cutting corners with Sydney, we just did things old school style... Stuck a finger in the water to check the temp... So, we fill up the little tub with water, not much, probably a few ounces at the most. We strip Sydney down, of course he is wailing... put him in the water and pfffft. A brownish- yellow cloud starts expanding in the water. Yup, he contaminated the water with a giant poop. Part of the problem is that there isn't a huge volume of water to dissipate the poop. Only a few ounces of water to mitigate the torrent of wet poop. I don't even know what units one would use to measure the poop. Admittedly, I don't know much about this stuff, but I assumed that this wasn't sanitary. At very least, it was counterproductive. We are giving him a bath to clean him, and we are going to end up soaking him in poop, and smearing it all over him? We did the best we could, making sure not to get the contaminated water in his eyes, or mouth, and quickly transferred him to the sink. Luckily, he is still small enough to fit inside the bathroom sink...

Action photo. You can see by the expression on his face that he is wailing.. I spared you the mess, and portray the clean bath water...

Family Naptime

Quality sleep has been pretty hard to come by in the last month or so. As I type this, Sydney is crying away. I will hurry up and finish this blog entry and hold him... MAYBE he'll stop crying.

Anyhow, back to the sleeping. We tried to have family naptime.
